About the role#
As an AI Engineer Intern, you will join a team focused on turning AI concepts into production-ready solutions. This role blends hands-on experimentation with practical engineering. You will gain exposure to the full AI lifecycle, from sandbox prototyping and model evaluation to deployment and monitoring. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to real projects and help build foundations for reliable, scalable, and secure AI.
What you'll do#
- Experiment with Generative AI models, frameworks, and platforms to explore new capabilities for AI agent automation.
- Design and implement prompt engineering strategies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to improve accuracy.
- Evaluate Generative AI applications for performance, cost-efficiency, and ethical compliance, including bias detection.
- Engage with business units and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize business requirements through automation.
- Implement automation and ensure the reliability of AI-driven solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12-week internship).
- Modality: On-site.

- Compensation: Paid position with a $500 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for those who qualify.
