About the role#
As a Farm Accounting Officer Intern, you will learn the core responsibilities of the role while building your customer service and retention skills. You will work on real projects alongside a supportive team and contribute to the success of the farming operations and landowners we serve. This is a 12-week internship taking place during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide accurate and timely accounting and payroll services for farming operations.
- Help educate customers on the importance of accurate reporting and accounting standards.
- Manage deadlines and gain a deeper understanding of accounting rules.
- Work with internal teams to create materials for external use.
- Coordinate the logistics for customer education events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Education, Business, Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- A genuine interest in careers involving adult education, program management, sales, marketing, or territory management.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Willmar, Minnesota.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- Interns must be available to travel to Omaha, Nebraska, three times during the program for orientation, mid-summer, and closing events. Travel expenses for these trips are covered.
