About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees daily food operations at the Western Kentucky University location. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining production standards, and ensuring the facility runs efficiently. You will work on-site and assist with various tasks to support the food service team.
What you'll do#
- Supervise, train, and mentor food service workers to build teamwork and efficiency.
- Manage daily work schedules and prepare production records.
- Oversee food preparation to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory and prepare orders as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment and keep maintenance logs.
- Handle cashier duties, assist with catering events, and fill in for absent staff when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and knowledge of cost-effective program operations.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before or during your first year.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage interpersonal situations.
