About the role#
National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) offers a state-certified training program designed for students interested in starting a nursing career. This three-week, unpaid program runs Monday through Friday and provides the foundational training necessary to join the nursing team.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a three-week training program to gain skills in patient care.
- Work toward becoming a certified nursing assistant to provide quality care for patients.
- Upon successful completion of the program, gain eligibility for full-time employment at NHC.
- Receive a base pay of $13 per hour upon hiring, with an increase to $15 per hour after certification.
What you'll need#
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Valid identification and a valid Social Security Number.
- Ability to pass a background check, including verification against the Tennessee and National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults.
- Candidates must not have felony convictions or certain misdemeanor charges to be admitted to the class.

- Location: Tullahoma, Tennessee.
- Term: Summer 2026 (Class starts June 2026).
