About the role#
NHC HealthCare Greenwood offers a State Certified Nurse Aide training program. This is a three week course designed to prepare students for a career in patient care. The program includes two weeks of classroom instruction followed by one week of clinical training. Selection for the program is based on facility need, entrance exam scores, and your overall performance.

During the third week, you will transition into a clinical learning environment to provide hands-on patient care. You must maintain a grade average of 85 to stay in the course. All candidates must pass a criminal background check and a review of the abuse registry.

To be considered, you must bring a completed application, a valid photo ID, your Social Security card, and proof of a high school diploma or GED to your interview. Once accepted, you will need to provide a 40 dollar cash deposit for books and supplies, which is returned upon graduation. You are also responsible for providing your own dark grey scrubs and a wrist-watch with a second hand.
