About the role#
The Corporate Reserving Actuarial Intern will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside Actuaries and Actuarial Analysts to gain hands-on experience in reinsurance fundamentals. This role focuses on supporting the reserving department through data analysis, monitoring activities, and a dedicated project.
What you'll do#
- Support segment-level reserving analyses, including technical checks, large-loss research, and loss development pattern selections.
- Assist with the creation of quarterly monitoring analyses and presentations.
- Partner with an Actuary on a specific reserving project.
- Collaborate with team members across the department to analyze and visualize data.
- Communicate your findings to support management decision-making.
- Deliver a final presentation to the department at the end of your internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Preferred majors include Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, such as integrity, curiosity, and clear thinking.
- Interest in the P&C reinsurance industry.
- Completion of at least one CAS or SOA actuarial exam is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Positions are located in New York, New York, or Princeton, New Jersey.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We do not provide sponsorship for this role, including for OPT or CPT.
