About the role#
The Payer and Health Systems team is looking for a summer intern to join our 2027 program. This is a full-time, 10 to 12-week internship focused on cardiovascular metabolic health, patient access, and medical affairs strategy. You will work alongside our headquarters strategy team on projects that provide exposure to medical affairs and leadership within the pharmaceutical industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and refinement of health system and payer insight-gathering priorities.
- Analyze stakeholder insights to identify trends across the general medicine portfolio.
- Evaluate payer policy, reimbursement, quality, and regulatory developments in cardiovascular care.
- Contribute to field engagement planning and create internal training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Medical Affairs stakeholders.
- Develop and present findings with recommendations to PHS leadership.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a PharmD, MD, DNP, or another doctoral-level clinical or health sciences degree.
- You must be returning to school following the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with literature evaluation, data analysis, or insight synthesis is preferred.
- An interest in market access, managed care, or medical affairs.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work well in cross-functional teams.
