About the role#
The Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences internship is a 12-week program focused on the development and manufacturing of oral, sterile, and specialty pharmaceutical products. You will work within a multidisciplinary research group to help translate therapeutic agents into functional drug products. This role provides exposure to the drug development process and the opportunity to work on projects related to small molecules, biologics, vaccines, and peptides.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a team to solve formulation development challenges.
- Partner with an experienced scientist on a specific research project.
- Participate in project team and departmental meetings.
- Present your research results through written reports and oral presentations.
- Engage in tasks such as engineering polymer or API composite particles, characterizing biologics, and designing lipid-based delivery systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior, or as a graduate student pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate study by June 2024.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic laboratory skills, such as experience with HPLC, spectroscopy, and safe lab practices.
- A strong interest in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supplies.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship running from June to August 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, or West Point, Pennsylvania.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
