About the role#
We are looking for motivated students to join our Clinical Pharmacology internship program within the Global Development Organization. This program provides exposure to the regulatory applications of clinical pharmacology and the role it plays across the drug development spectrum. You will gain insight into various study designs and participate in project team and departmental meetings. This is a paid, full-time internship offering mentorship on technical skills and projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn the role of clinical pharmacology in drug development.
- Develop an understanding of global regulatory guidance relevant to clinical pharmacology strategy.
- Analyze and interpret clinical pharmacology study data.
- Learn how model-informed drug development enhances dose selection and overall development strategies.
- Conduct literature reviews to address scientific challenges or inform study design.
- Learn and apply clinical pharmacology software tools.
- Present findings or project outcomes at the department level.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the US and Japan.
- Build connections across functions such as clinical science, clinical operations, translational research, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, pharmacometrics, systems biology, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Degree completion expected by Spring 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Understanding of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and biostatistics.
- Experience with coding, clinical data analysis, and data visualization using graphical methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency with literature searches using PubMed, Embase, or Scopus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Initiative, motivation, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship.
