About the role#
Onco360 Oncology Pharmacy is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Intern to work at our Louisville location. This role involves supporting our pharmacy operations by assisting patients and healthcare providers, managing inventory, and helping our pharmacists with daily dispensing tasks. This is an on-site position with a schedule of less than 30 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Greet patients and healthcare providers over the phone and handle their questions or requests.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by tracking stock levels and ordering necessary supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment while following all pharmacy procedures and regulations.
- Perform prescription tasks such as preparing labels, calculating quantities, and adjudicating insurance claims including prior authorizations.
- Package and organize daily medication orders.
- Assist patients with financial assistance programs and co-payments.
- Provide counseling regarding the Celgene REMS program.
- Coordinate medication refill deliveries by communicating with patients and physician office staff.
- Support the pharmacist with the dispensing process.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a pharmacy program at an accredited university.
- A valid Pharmacy Intern license or permit for the state of Arizona.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, general pharmacy terms, and brand and generic medication names.
- Two or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.

- Compensation: $24.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on completed years of pharmacy school.
