About the role#
The Bioprocess Technology Solutions (BTS) internship is a 12-week program within our Animal Health division. You will join a team focused on the development, formulation, and manufacturing of veterinary vaccines. This role provides hands-on experience in scaling up processes for commercial production and solving technical challenges in a laboratory setting. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to support projects that ensure safe and cost-effective vaccine manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Support vaccine manufacturing projects through laboratory studies, sample preparation, and process evaluation.
- Analyze experimental data and summarize your findings to support project goals.
- Assist the team in troubleshooting scientific or process-related issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to learn about commercial vaccine operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all experiments and follow safe laboratory practices.
- Perform experimental set-up and interpret results as part of your daily research.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed your Junior year toward a Bachelor’s degree by May 2027 in a field such as Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related life sciences.
- A minimum of sophomore standing in a four-year program is required.
- You should have a working knowledge of basic laboratory techniques in life science.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary for team collaboration.
- You should be methodical, thorough, and comfortable working with general computer applications.
