About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides hands-on experience within the investment management industry. You will contribute to real projects that support business objectives, collaborate with professionals across the firm, and gain exposure to various career paths. The program includes learning sessions, professional development events, and a capstone project that you will present to business leaders at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Construct and manipulate large data sets to perform quantitative analysis.
- Conduct back-testing and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain investment algorithms.
- Assist investment professionals in building and maintaining models that support investment strategies.
- Research current market trends and the investment environment.
- Engage in the team research culture by asking questions, challenging assumptions, providing peer review, and participating in debates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Requirement to return to your academic program following the internship.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Understanding of basic data modeling coding languages, with a preference for Python.
- Ability to manage large data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in financial markets and investment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027, to August 10, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: $33.50 per hour.
