About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Seattle, running from June 1, 2027, to August 10, 2027. You will join the Parametric team within Morgan Stanley Investment Management to gain hands-on experience in financial services. The role is full-time at 40 hours per week and operates in a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Review all Parametric investment profiles published to consultant databases.
- Resolve discrepancies or incomplete fields using source files.
- Build and maintain content within the team data repository.
- Use FactSet and internal systems to compile quantitative reports on holdings, performance, and personnel statistics.
- Organize internal data to support ad hoc projects and decision-making.
- Collaborate with an external service provider to assist in consultant database population.
- Manage multiple projects and take initiative on tasks with limited direction.
What you'll need#
- Progressing toward a bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field as a Junior or rising Senior.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, specifically PivotTables and V-Lookups.
- Experience with data management and table formatting.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with professional services environments.
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or AI tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Seattle, Washington.
- Compensation: $28.50 per hour.
- This position is paid but does not include medical benefits, housing support, or relocation assistance.
