About the role#
MNP is hiring Summer Accountants to join our Assurance and Accounting team. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site in Saskatchewan, supporting our clients with financial reporting and business advisory needs.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital assets.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial entries and documents.
- Set up files for new clients and manage multiple projects at once.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and client summaries.
- Travel as necessary to meet client needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for commerce or business administration with an accounting major.
- Progress toward meeting the prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
