About the role#
MNP is seeking an Assurance & Accounting Intern or Co-op student to join the Audit team in Vancouver. This full-time, paid position offers exposure to a range of financial reporting tasks while working alongside professionals dedicated to providing tailored advisory services to clients.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills across compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax services.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards to client engagements.
- Collect financial information to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies found in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Prepare technical reports, client summaries, and presentations to outline engagement findings.
- Collaborate with the client engagement team and build professional relationships with client contacts.
- Perform walk-throughs for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital assets.
- Assist with file setups for new clients and conduct inventory counts.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Working toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous accounting-related office experience is considered an asset.
- Customer or client service experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel as necessary.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Terms available: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Annual salary range of $45,000 to $55,000.
