About the role#
MNP is hiring for an Assurance and Accounting Intern or Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work with our team to provide financial information and support to a variety of clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Conduct walk-throughs with clients regarding payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital asset management.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial documents and entries.
- Work with the client engagement team to build professional relationships with client contacts.
- Set up files for new clients and incorporate businesses.
- Assess audit evidence for expenses, revenues, and assets.
- Prepare technical reports and client summaries.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in an accounting environment is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service roles.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software.
