About the role#
As an Assurance and Accounting Intern, you will work with our team to provide financial information and advisory services. This full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment. You will work on-site in either Montréal or Laval.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies found in financial entries and documents.
- Work with the client engagement team to build and maintain client relationships.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
- You are working toward the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in an accounting role is an asset.
- Experience with tax and accounting software is an asset.
