About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op CPA Articling Student to join the Assurance and Accounting team in Calgary. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site as you develop your professional skills and progress toward your CPA designation.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies found in financial documents and reports.
- Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Program upon graduation.
- Previous office experience in an accounting role is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.
