About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op Accounting Student for an 8-month term, running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, as part of our Assurance and Accounting team. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies found in financial entries, reports, and documents.
- Work with the client engagement team and maintain relationships with client contacts.
- Set up files for new clients, manage multiple files at once, and conduct inventory counts.
- Prepare technical reports and client summaries detailing engagement findings.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- You are working toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in an accounting role is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.
