About the role#
MKEC Engineering is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for our Wichita office. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on projects within our Architectural Engineering or Industrial and Energy service areas.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience on real-world projects such as schools, commercial buildings, hospitals, warehouses, and energy facilities.
- Learn to use industry-specific design software.
- Work alongside licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Follow the full design process from start to finish.
- Help the project team meet client schedules and expectations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Structural or Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- You have experience with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or RISA is preferred.
- You have strong time management and communication skills.
- You are eager to learn and bring a positive attitude to our team-oriented culture.
- You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
