About the role#
ESP Associates, Inc. is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship. You will work across our Arkansas locations in Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Little Rock.
What you'll do#
You will perform quality control and quality assurance testing on various civil engineering projects. Your daily tasks include calibrating field and laboratory equipment and ensuring the lab area remains clean and organized. You will operate a company truck during work hours and assist with ordering lab supplies. You will report to the CMT Supervisor for field operations and support the Lab Supervisor with daily lab activities. We expect you to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues while working to improve your performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Effective time management and planning abilities
- A strong work ethic, initiative, and creativity
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- A satisfactory driving record
- Willingness to obtain and maintain relevant certifications for construction materials testing

This internship is based on-site in Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Rogers, or Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.
