About the role#
MKEC Engineering is seeking Civil Engineering Interns to work from our Wichita, Kansas office. You will assist our teams across Land Development, Public Works, and Transportation service areas. This is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to real-world projects such as residential developments, schools, healthcare facilities, roadways, and bridges.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience by working on various real-world projects.
- Learn and use design software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Assist project teams in meeting client expectations and schedules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program at an ABET accredited institution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to or awareness of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is preferred.
- Strong time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn within a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
