About the role#
MKEC Engineering is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our Overland Park, Kansas office. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on projects across our Land Development, Public Works, and Transportation service areas.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience on real-world projects such as residential and commercial developments, schools, healthcare facilities, athletic facilities, roadways, streets, and bridges.
- Use industry-specific design software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Learn the complete design process from start to finish.
- Help the project team meet client expectations and project schedules.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to or awareness of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is preferred.
- Strong time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.
- A desire to work in a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
