About the role#
As a Site Civil Intern within the Building Engineering Services Group, you will support the design of critical infrastructure. You will work alongside engineers to solve design challenges and contribute to projects that shape the built environment.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete due diligence research and documentation.
- Develop concept site layouts that meet jurisdictional requirements.
- Coordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to determine design and submittal requirements.
- Assist with community outreach and attend client meetings.
- Transition concept plans through schematic and construction design processes.
- Coordinate with subconsultants for support and design services.
- Design and produce plan sets, details, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform site development calculations, including stormwater pond sizing, pipe capacity analysis, and hydrology calculations.
- Author technical reports and collaborate with team engineers to determine project actions.
- Manage your time across multiple tasks and projects while pursuing operational efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Preference is given to local candidates.
