About the role#
MKEC Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Industrial/Energy team in Wichita, Kansas. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position. You will work on projects including refineries, ammonia and fertilizer plants, and logistics terminals.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience by working on real-world projects.
- Learn and use industry-specific design software.
- Work directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Solidworks is preferred.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
