About the role#
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is seeking a Project Management Intern to join the Center of Excellence team in Orlando. This role focuses on operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement. You will work on projects that impact efficiency and performance across the organization. This is a paid, on-site position lasting between six months and one year, with the possibility of extension or a transition to a full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Map and analyze existing training workflows to find and address inefficiencies.
- Manage and update the SharePoint site for the Center of Excellence team.
- Recommend data-driven improvements for training and internal communications.
- Support department-led improvement projects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and track process changes.
- Present your findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Business Intelligence/Analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Basic knowledge of process improvement methods like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work 20 to 28 hours per week during the school term and up to 40 hours during breaks.

- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, while following all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment.
