About the role#
This Data Science Internship focuses on integrating data analytics into compliance, risk, and governance functions. You will support the organization by applying automation and emerging technologies to enhance control monitoring and risk-focused oversight. This role provides exposure to internal audit, legal, and assurance processes while building scalable analytics solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and execute data analytics to support compliance reviews, audits, and testing.
- Support planning, risk assessments, fieldwork, and continuous monitoring through data-driven techniques.
- Apply automation and analytics tools, including Python, Power BI, Microsoft applications, and GenAI-enabled tools.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Build repeatable analytics routines to increase testing coverage and enhance dashboard visualization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, Finance, IT, and Operations.
- Develop reusable analytics templates and documentation to scale capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with at least one modern programming language, with a preference for Python.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical and business documentation and communicate findings clearly.
- A proactive mindset and interest in a long-term development experience.
