About the role#
As a Financial Analyst Associate intern, you will work under the supervision of the LTSA Finance Manager. You will provide analytical support by maintaining and reporting key performance measures. This role involves both independent work and team collaboration. You will use data mining to provide insights that help optimize business processes.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and report on key performance measures for business unit management.
- Review and interpret Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) contracts to ensure financial terms and milestones are met.
- Monitor contract compliance and support contract-related financial analysis.
- Conduct margin erosion, cost, and revenue analysis.
- Assist in the development of Profit and Loss and cash flow forecasts.
- Review account reconciliations and support management reviews of financial statements.
- Participate in internal audits of accounting and administrative controls.
- Complete ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a four-year degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Skills to present information and answer questions from management groups.
- Mathematical aptitude to calculate figures like interest, commissions, and proportions using algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Experience with accounting, database, project management, and spreadsheet software.
