About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience across multiple supply chain disciplines at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. You will work directly with the Senior Director of Strategic Supply Chain Management to support sourcing initiatives, cost management projects, and digital transformation efforts. This role requires a commitment of at least one year, with the potential for extension or transition into a full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Support strategic initiatives for both direct and indirect strategic sourcing teams.
- Assist with supplier capacity planning and relationship management.
- Collect data and perform benchmarking to support cost management projects.
- Contribute to the Power+ Supply Chain Transformation Program.
- Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and KPI reports using Power BI.
- Assist in analyzing supplier performance, spend trends, and operational risks.
- Prepare RFQs and support bid evaluations or supplier negotiations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Strong interest in learning supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and follow a variety of written and oral instructions.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Lake Mary, Florida.
- You must be available to work 16 to 28 hours per week during the school term, with the option for up to 40 hours during breaks and summer.
- This is a paid internship.
