About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the IT Support department. You will work alongside IT professionals to manage local infrastructure, building conferencing, and security systems. This role is designed to provide practical experience through challenging projects and exposure to IT audit processing, while offering mentorship from experienced staff.
What you'll do#
- Provide Helpdesk support for end-user systems, including hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications.
- Investigate issues by conducting thorough research and utilizing available resources.
- Physically install, configure, and relocate hardware and software systems.
- Provide guidance and orientation to users regarding new software and equipment.
- Create and update documentation for the IT knowledge base.
- Prioritize support tickets based on urgency and communicate effectively with end-users.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity. Recent graduates are also eligible.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, specifically Windows 11 and the Office 365 suite.
- Experience with hands-on hardware troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Understanding of basic TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds, climbing stairs, kneeling, and crawling to install or move equipment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December 2026).
- Schedule: Part-time, up to 29 hours per week.
