About the role#
We are hiring an Actuarial Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Tampa Health team. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work in a hybrid capacity from our Tampa, Florida office. Eligible interns will receive a housing stipend to assist with temporary living expenses.
What you'll do#
- Review, organize, and analyze statistical data.
- Develop and use actuarial models.
- Analyze healthcare costs and utilization data.
- Implement software solutions under the supervision of actuaries.
- Assist analysts and consultants with the development, checking, and use of models.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Your planned graduation date is 2027 or later.
- You hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- You have passed at least one actuarial exam.
- You are proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of SAS and VBA is a plus.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
