About the role#
Milliman’s CMH Health Products team is looking for an intern to join us for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on software and Generative AI applications that support our healthcare products and client services. This is a full-time, paid internship running from January to June 2027. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Build software and GenAI agents that automate internal processes.
- Take ownership of feature and product requests from start to finish.
- Perform rigorous self-QA on your work.
- Learn the healthcare business context behind the code you write.
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve your output.
- Create and maintain documentation for features and user workflows.
- Assist with product testing, performance tuning, and bug resolution.
- Join team discussions regarding product direction and technical design.
- Help promote new products to support market success.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status. We prefer Math or Computer Science backgrounds, but will consider students in Philosophy, Art, Psychology, or Biology who show an aptitude for software development.
- Experience with software and AI development, including familiarity with tools like GitHub CoPilot, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Analytical skills and the ability to organize your work effectively.
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to being punctual and reliable.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work full-time on-site from January to June 2027.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at our offices in Chicago, Illinois, or Brookfield, Wisconsin.
- Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $46.00 per hour, depending on your location and qualifications.
