About the role#
This summer internship offers practical experience within the CMH Health practice. Interns work on real-world assignments alongside actuarial consultants and senior management. The role provides exposure to actuarial functions including experience studies, valuation, pricing, model development, and forecasting.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis using Excel, VBA, SAS, and Python to support consulting across various healthcare segments.
- Participate in pricing, financial projections, model development, and forecasting activities.
- Review the work of peers and assist with ongoing research and product development.
- Coordinate with project teams to present client reports and deliverables.
- Analyze data and complete actuarial calculations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or accounting.
- At least one actuarial exam passed.
- Junior standing is preferred, though sophomore students may apply.
- A GPA of 3.2 or above is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site at least four days per week.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
