About the role#
The 2027 Data Analyst Summer Internship is a full-time position based in the Minneapolis Health and Life practice. You will work on projects related to health insurance, long-term care insurance, and predictive modeling. This role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment for approximately 3 months during the summer of 2027. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Clean, synthesize, and analyze data using spreadsheets, databases, and other resources.
- Communicate project results to peers and project leaders.
- Review the work of your peers.
- Prepare and document project files.
- Assist with research and business development projects.
- Gain experience with healthcare data using various software applications.
What you'll need#
- Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a preference for 3.5 or above.
- Pursuing a degree in a STEM discipline such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn processes quickly and apply knowledge to varied tasks.
- Preferred: Experience with database applications like Access or VBA, statistical programming (SAS, Python, R), cloud computing, or healthcare data.
