About the role#
Milliman is hiring a Healthcare Data Analyst Intern for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis. You will join the life sciences consulting team to support strategies for client products. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary group of actuaries, analysts, and pharmacists. You will receive 1:1 mentoring and structured feedback throughout the program. The internship concludes with a presentation on a business project to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Analyze large, complex health and drug datasets.
- Implement data analysis plans to meet project objectives.
- Build user-friendly and dynamic Excel models.
- Communicate technical findings to the consulting team.
- Use coding languages to analyze data and check results.
- Work both independently and collaboratively on project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency or experience with coding languages such as SAS, R, VBA, or SQL.
- Basic knowledge of Gen AI tools and their applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The position is paid and includes a housing or housing stipend.
