About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship at the Gilliland Plant in Laurens, South Carolina. You will work 40 hours per week for 11 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. The program runs from mid-May through the first week of August. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting technical textile manufacturing operations and contributing to business projects.
What you'll do#
- Support daily plant activities and specific projects focused on material traceability or chemical optimization.
- Conduct research, data review, and analysis to help guide business decisions.
- Assist in the creation of process documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
- Identify ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Present your findings and project results at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior currently working toward a BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to attend the Intern Leadership Forum in Spartanburg, SC.
- Ability to participate in the final presentation review in Spartanburg, SC, during August.
- Prior internship or project experience is preferred but not required.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
