About the role#
The ID1 Process Engineer intern supports high volume manufacturing by improving process quality and efficiency. You will work on yield improvements, cost reduction, and resolving line issues to meet area goals. This role involves partnering with equipment teams, shift operations leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure area priorities are executed.
What you'll do#
- Complete all safety training and follow safety policies.
- Monitor and address Statistical Process Control (SPC) issues daily.
- Apply SPC, FDC, and 8D methodology to optimize processes.
- Analyze data to make critical process decisions.
- Resolve or escalate issues that could cause yield loss, defects, or output loss.
- Update tool documentation and reaction mechanisms.
- Complete projects to optimize wafer processing and increase wafer outs.
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence where appropriate.
- Maintain assessor checklists and update procedures to align with global practices.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics.
- Current student status with a graduation date no earlier than September 2026.
- Working knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, or Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing.
- Hands-on experience in data analytics.
- Understanding of Fab process areas, equipment, and supporting systems.
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
