About the role#
onsemi is seeking an intern to join the thin films, implant, and diffusion engineering team in Fishkill, New York. You will work on defining, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for integrated circuits. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, execute, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Investigate and resolve real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Review and optimize technical standards and documentation.
- Perform statistical data analysis and present your findings to the team.
- Assist with characterization work in the laboratory as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA, BS, Master, or PhD program in electrical engineering or a semiconductor-related field.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor engineering and coursework in semiconductor and wafer processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team.
- Capability to collaborate effectively across different functions.

- Compensation: $26.00 to $44.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
