About the role#
Qorvo is hiring a Process Engineering Intern to join our Global Operations group. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Richardson, Texas. You will work on projects related to semiconductor manufacturing, including process troubleshooting and fab engineering trials.
What you'll do#
- Manage projects in areas such as Surface mount Assembly, Evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, Electroplating, plasma etch, Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Wafer Dicing, and CMP.
- Perform process troubleshooting and recipe optimization.
- Collect data using various metrology tools.
- Analyze data using software like JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
- Design and execute fab engineering trials.
- Work on component and die assembly, process optimization, and 5S continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Coursework or experience with semiconductor processing techniques like PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, and CMP.
- Experience with 3D printing, CAD tools, and Solidworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
- An interest in hands-on engineering work within a clean room facility.
