About the role#
The Wet Process Group at Micron evaluates hardware platforms and develops process chemistries for next-generation semiconductor technologies. As an intern, you will partner with engineers to create wet processing solutions that meet device requirements and improve manufacturing workflows. You will focus on projects involving process capability, productivity, contamination control, and surface characterization.
What you'll do#
- Develop, execute, and evaluate wet process experiments to support future technology nodes.
- Assist with chemistry development, contamination reduction, and surface characterization projects.
- Analyze experimental data and share findings through technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to improve process efficiency and manufacturability.
- Apply AI and data-driven methods to improve research efficiency and process optimization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, with a graduation date after December 31, 2027.
- Academic experience in wet processing, chemistry research, or laboratory environments.
- Verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports.
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines.
- Experience collaborating in both individual and team settings.
