    About the role#

    This is a full-time internship position for Summer 2027 based in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will join our team to work on semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation processes. The role focuses on hands-on project work that contributes to our business objectives while supporting your professional development. You will receive training in Lean principles and apply them throughout your project.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and modify processes for semiconductor manufacturing and fabrication.
    • Propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations in collaboration with group engineers.
    • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data to your colleagues.
    • Create and update standard operating procedures and document tasks for future use.
    • Analyze test data to determine variables and limits for material specifications.
    • Assist in the interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors for process characterization.
    • Gain familiarity with semiconductor processing techniques through literature and hands-on learning.
    • Complete safety training to enable supervised work in the process lab.
    • Prepare and present a final project report.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Nanoscience, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Physics.
    • Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods.
    • Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Experience working safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals.
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

    • Location: Hillsboro, Oregon.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May 17th to August 20th).
    • Physical requirements include the ability to work in clean room environments, potentially in confined areas or awkward positions. You may need to lift or carry up to 35 pounds and use personal protective equipment when working with chemicals, high voltage, or mechanical parts.
