    About the role#

    As a Wet Process Engineering Intern, you will work within a semiconductor manufacturing environment to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Wet Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering teams to improve factory productivity, equipment reliability, and process stability. Your primary projects will focus on areas such as tool alarm reduction, preventive maintenance optimization, or yield improvement.

    What you'll do#

    • Support projects to reduce non-value-added activities and improve manufacturing productivity.
    • Analyze equipment performance, utilization, downtime, and operational metrics.
    • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking metrics.
    • Monitor production performance and identify trends impacting factory output, cycle time, and tool availability.
    • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
    • Analyze equipment alarm history to identify recurring issues and reduce nuisance alarms.
    • Evaluate preventive maintenance effectiveness and optimize maintenance intervals.
    • Collect and analyze equipment and process data to improve tool uptime.
    • Participate in root cause investigations for equipment excursions, process defects, or yield loss events.
    • Support the implementation and validation of corrective and preventive actions.
    • Assist engineers in evaluating process performance and identifying efficiency opportunities.
    • Observe and participate in problem-solving related to yield, defects, and contamination control.
    • Perform statistical analysis using Minitab, Excel, and other engineering tools.
    • Present project updates and final recommendations to engineering and management teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
    • Junior or Senior undergraduate standing is preferred.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $26.00 - $44.00 per hour.
    • Status: Full-time internship.
