About the role#
The Miami HEAT is looking for an IT Service Desk Intern to join our team. You will work alongside Service Desk Coordinators to support our office staff and arena operations. This is a paid, on-site internship for current students.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level help desk support to end users.
- Repair hardware to reduce help desk incidents.
- Maintain and repair network laser printers.
- Organize, track, and maintain hardware inventory.
- Respond to security threats like viruses and malware.
- Enforce company security settings and software compliance policies.
- Manage service desk tickets and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current student enrolled in school.
- Ability to work at least 15 hours per week.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Directory Services, including DHCP, Active Directory, and DNS.
- Understanding of Windows user rights, permissions, and LAN infrastructure.
- Experience with network laser printer maintenance.
- Familiarity with desktop, phone, and tablet installation and repair.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
