About the role#
The Occupational Safety Training Analyst intern will support the Safety and Emergency Response Training (SERT) unit at New York City Transit. This role focuses on maintaining efficient training delivery methods through technology, data analysis, and administrative support. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain a working database to support course development using metrics and graphic design.
- Audit and update existing course curriculum, including fire safety materials.
- Perform forecasting and trend analysis on training data to assist with quarterly scheduling.
- Generate reports and manage instructor schedules.
- Handle payroll preparation and communicate with employees and stakeholders via phone and email.
- Assist with procurement and overtime tracking databases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (minimum 2.5 GPA) or graduate program (minimum 2.8 GPA).
- Preferred majors include Graphic Design, Data Science, Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Emergency Response.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks under pressure, and collaborate within a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Modality: On-site attendance is required.
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour for undergraduates, $21.00 per hour for graduate students.
