About the role#
This position provides administrative support to the Vice President for Advancement at Messiah University. You will handle daily office tasks and assist with specific projects for the department. The role requires handling confidential information and maintaining reliable attendance throughout the 2026-27 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Manage general office duties such as filing, proofreading, typing correspondence, and distributing mail.
- Prepare for events and handle donor gift inventory and wrapping.
- Create spreadsheets, documents, tables, and presentations using Microsoft Office.
- Use creative marketing abilities to support various department projects.
- Assist other advancement departments as needed.
- Maintain professional telephone etiquette.
What you'll need#
- At least one year of general office experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Professional dress is required. For women, this means dress pants or skirts, avoiding sneakers, flip flops, and low-cut tops. For men, this means dress pants and a collared shirt, avoiding sneakers and flip flops.
Location & details#
- Location: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Pay: $8.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Work Modality: On-site.
