About the role#
The Office of Faculty Development at Messiah University is hiring a student intern for the 2026-27 academic year. You will support the office by assisting with research, marketing, annual reports, and special events for programs including The Boyer Center, Teaching and Learning, Christian Faith and Academic Vocation, and New Educator Orientation. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Create PowerPoint presentations and design posters, flyers, and invitations.
- Edit the website and create Qualtrics surveys.
- Distribute promotional materials like flyers, postcards, and posters.
- Track data in Excel spreadsheets and develop project schedules.
- Assist the Dean for Faculty Development and other leaders with reports and projects.
- Prepare event materials, including assembling binders or folders and setting up program spaces.
- Perform administrative tasks such as making copies, printing documents, and responding to emails.
- Conduct research on topics related to faculty development.
- Maintain consistent attendance and see assigned projects through to completion.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Canva, and Adobe software.
- Dependability, flexibility, and strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and effective time-management habits.
- A willingness to work well within a team.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
- The position is part-time and follows a rolling term for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Compensation is $9.00 per hour.
