About the role#
The Clinical Nursing Student - Early Career Decision Program is a temporary position designed to enhance your clinical experience. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and develop your professional skills in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care and support the nursing process under RN supervision.
- Record vital signs and assist with personal care, hygiene, and patient mobility.
- Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing staff to report changes or concerns.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Participate in hand-off reports and departmental updates.
- Deliver customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
- Perform delegated tasks once your competency is validated.
- Collaborate with the RN to build your critical thinking and clinical judgment.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- Successful completion of educational requirements necessary for your immersion experience level.
- Recent experience as a Patient Care Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, or other medical roles is preferred.

- This is an on-site, part-time role based in Youngstown and Warren, Ohio.
- The program term is rolling.
