About the role#
Mercy Health is hiring a Radiology Student Tech for Lourdes Hospital. This is a part-time, on-site role in Paducah, Kentucky. You will work under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services.
What you'll do#
- Apply the art and skill of diagnostic imaging using ionizing radiation safely.
- Assist with reviewing patient information for radiographic exams.
- Provide lifting assistance to patients.
- Escort patients to and from the Radiology department.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate updates to medical professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiology program.
- Successful completion of at least one year of school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Active BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment that may involve exposure to body fluids or high-stress situations.
