About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in multifamily and healthcare loan underwriting. You will work directly with your assigned team on real projects, contributing to the underwriting process and loan file preparation. The program includes mentorship, a final project presentation to company leadership, and weekly professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite components of multifamily and healthcare loans to bank guidelines.
- Analyze third party reports, including Phase I Environmental and Appraisal reports.
- Review financial statements, organizational documents, and Real Estate Owned schedules provided by borrowers.
- Use Microsoft Excel to build financial models and manage the flow of funds for transactions.
- Coordinate with underwriters, loan processors, and closing teams to verify due diligence and ensure files are clear to close.
- Communicate outstanding due diligence issues to processors and borrowers.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college or graduation.
- A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or Accounting.
- Demonstrated ability in teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
- Ability to apply academic coursework to practical business projects.
