About the role#
This internship provides a background in general liability claims, covering areas such as asbestos, toxic torts, environmental hazards, and construction defects. You will gain an understanding of the insurance industry through professional development workshops and networking with colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Review policies, contracts, and financial files to support claim handling.
- Partner with internal and external business partners to investigate claims and assist with settlement negotiations.
- Consult with inside and outside counsel, as well as technical experts.
- Complete a capstone research project that involves analyzing information and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Liberal Arts or Business.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through extra-curricular activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication, research, and presentation skills.
- The ability to analyze complex problems and provide sound recommendations.
- A record of self-motivation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
